Friday, Derek and I took Ethan and Silas to Chidren's Mercy Hospital. We were there the entire day while many different tests were being performed on the boys. The most important test being an echocardiogram done on each of them. Both Silas and Ethan have a hole in their heart. The hole in Ethan's heart is not serious and he will be fine. Silas' on the other hand, is very serious and will require heart surgery in the Spring or early Summer. We are waiting to hear back from the panel of doctor's discussing Silas' case. Ethan and Silas will begin going to Orthopedic Therapy and Physical Therapy this week. We are excited that they got in to see all the specialists so quickly.
Sasha is doing great! He is so happy! He's eating very well and isn't acting out with fits of anger like he did in the beginning. He still has his moments but we are working through those times with him, as best we can without knowing how to speak Ukrainian. He seems to have much less fear at night as well. We are so pleased with how far he's come in such a short time. We've only been home with the boys for less than a month and the changes are all posititve! Praise God!

What great news for Ethan, praise God! I will be praying for little Silas that God will heal his heart. The boys are all looking so well and HAPPY!:) Your daughters are beautiful!!!

If you need an ear to listen about the heart stuff you have my #'s (or e-mail me and I'll call you). We did Emma's open heart in August 08 and Brianna's in June 06. It's never easy but it's amazing what a repaired heart can do!
I'm not an expert by any means but I understand a lot more than I ever thought necessary before :)

Its amazing how happy and healthy they all look. Love is truly a miracle worker!
Is Dr. Lofland the surgeon who will be performing the surgery? We will be at childrens mercy probably around the same time. My little Olivia had what they call a tet spell this week, so we will be doing a heart cath and surgery, by spring time. Childrens mercy is great, but I am still believing for a miracle for my little girl and your little boy.

That is fantastic news about Ethan! I love Children's Mercy. They took such great care of us over the past few years. I know that they will take great care of Silas as well. Does he have an ASD or VSD or something else? I'll keep praying.
